.Fireplace change outs.

Replacing the old fireplace with a more efficient way to heat. After performing an inspection of the wood burning fireplace we realized there were some clearances that were not met putting this fireplace in a 'at risk' position. We took out the old fireplace and replaced it with a Pryorfire retrofit systems that has zero clearance to combustible materials outside of 4 inches masonry on all sides. This retrofit system is more efficient then a traditional wood burning fireplace, putting out more heat with a smaller fire.
.From wood to gas.

.Concrete Caps.
Concrete caps should be 2 inches thick at the thinnest point and should have a 2 inch overhang and drip edge. They need to slope away from the flue, shedding water away from the chimney, and out over the brick structure.

.Outside Mount Caps.

.Stainless Steel Chase Covers.
We take precise measurements of your chimney and have the stainless steel chase cover custom made to fit. They are made with an integrated raised collar that comes up about 3-4 inches. The chimney passes through that. We then attach a storm collar (basically an upside down umbrella) to the chimney which covers the tiny gap between the raised collar and the chimney. The chase cover completely covers the top of the chase and is sloped down and away from the chimney shedding water onto the roof instead of it tending to run toward the chimney and into the structure.

A solid stainless steel chase cover is a great way to cover a chimney that is no longer in use or to cover the top of a chimney where a gas appliance vents out the side of the chase.

.Flashing for a chimney.
Every chimney needs step flashing and counter flashing.
